DAC provided TAB services at Brooke Army Medical Center to perform a complete re-balance of two large vivarium spaces. The full scope of work included four air handling units, 10 lab and general exhaust fans, over 190 Phoenix laboratory controllers and over 60 dual duct terminal systems. The on-site work was required to be executed over an evening shift beginning at 4pm and the total field effort required 3 months of careful coordination and weekly progress update meetings on-site. As a result, the facility was able to re-certify the vivarium’s under AAALAC (Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care), and DAC played a pivotal role in re-establishing room pressurization cascades, reducing system demand by adjusting total required air changes within VA and AAALAC required thresholds and maintaining a dedicated team focused on a singular goal. We understand critical timelines for certifying entities and a need to maintain operational redundancy providing for animal welfare and safe work environments. Used Delta Controls enteliWEB.
